Price:970 EUR
Dates:14th to 22nd Nov 2015
Status:free capacity

Experience a six-day river expedition starting right below Victoria Falls. High volume of water creates numerous huge rapids in deep basalt canyon. Pools between the rapids, river depth and warm water make rafting on Zambezi relatively safe.

  • Experince world class white water
  • Feel the river thunder on your skin
  • Rest on stunning white sandy beaches
  • Meet rich variety of birdlife
  • Have fun while rafting with professionals

The goal of this rafting expedition is descent of one of the wildest rivers in the world - Zambezi. In six days you will paddle the longest possible section of this African beauty. The adventure begins at the bottom of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Naural Wonders Of The World. Huge volume of water create numerous rapids in up to 300 meters deep basalt gorge. Despite the size and gradient of the river, warm water and drop-pool character makes Zambezi reasonably safe and friendly.

Beyond the rapids where the regular one-day rafting finishes a new dimension opens. Be one of few people who enter the real world of expedition rafting. You'll escape the hustle and get a chance to fully enjoy the nature. Camping on white sandy beaches with millions of stars above will be sweet reward after demanding paddling and portaging some unrunable rapids.

Once we finish all 130 unforgettable kilometres on the river, off-roads or helicopter (optional) will bring us back to Victoria Falls to celebrate, relax and enjoy some non-rafting adventures. Beeing already in area is the best opportunity to head for safari to Hwange or Chobe National Park (optional additional program). It makes your trip five days longer and the memories are priceless.

1st day - One of our guides will await you at Victoria Falls or Livingstone Airport and will take you to your accommodation in Victoria Falls. You will meet your trip leader and get a dry bag along with some information how and what to pack for the river. Depending on time of your arrival there could be some time to have a look around in Victoria Falls.

2nd day - Short transfer to the river, where we'll load the rafts and provide you with PFD's and helmets. You'll be given thorough safety talk and all needed instructions by your guide. On our first river day we'll paddle about 12 km with several class 5 rapids and reach the beach by rapid #11. Rapids of the day are Morning Glory, Guliver's Travels, The Devil's Toilet Bowl and many more.

3rd to 6th day - Unforgettable days in the canyon of Zambezi with an immense number of massive rapids, few portages, some chilling moments, infinite fun and great people. Rapids' names like Overland Truck Eater, Oblivion, The Narrows, Let's Make a Deal or Ghost Riders talk for themselves.

7th day - The basalt canyon end makes space for grassy banks, crocodiles, hippopotami and many other animals that are affraid of Zambezi's canyon roar. On the take out at Matesi River we'll deflate the rafts and get a ride back to Victoria Falls. Celebration follows!

8th day - Optional program in Victoria Falls area. You can choose from huge variety of activities, such as horseback or elephant riding, lion station visit, helicopter flight above Victoria Falls, bungee jumping, canoeing on calm waters of upper Zambezi, safari, etc.

9th day - Departure, shuttle to the airport in Victoria Falls or Livingstone. Or additional safari program in National Park Hwange (Zimbabwe) or Chobe (Botswana).
